
Parsley Seed Growing Information
Petroselinum crispum
Direct Seed: Sow parsley seeds after danger of frost has passed when soil has warmed to at least 50° F.
Transplant: Sow seeds in trays 6-8 weeks before desired transplant date. Soil temperature for germination is 60-75° F. It will take 2-4 weeks for seed to germinate. Plant out after last frost.
Spacing: Transplant or thin seeds to 8-12” apart in rows 12-18” apart.
Growth needs: Grows best in fertile soil that retains moisture.
Harvest: When leaves are of desired size. Cut stems near base or cut to desired length. Store at 32° F at 95% relative humidity. Can be sold fresh or dried.
